Doofus quote of the decade: “The Internet was designed for the PC”
Seriously. This is the message Ballmer’s trying to send during the launch of Windows 7.
“Let’s face it, the Internet was designed for the PC. The Internet is not designed for the iPhone. That’s why they’ve got 75,000 applications — they’re all trying to make the Internet look decent on the iPhone.” – Associated Press
Right….
Because the Internet, with it’s absolutely massive amount of information, the Internet that connects us all in ways never before possible, the Internet that can provide content on-demand to all corners of the globe, is DESIGNED to be accessed from a big box sitting on a desk in your house.
If this doesn’t miss the mark further, doesn’t dismiss the friggin awesomeness of what the Internet is all about, I don’t know what does.
