Time for an EpicDuel

After a couple years of hard work, my brother is launching his new online MMORPG this Saturday. The game features a new Epic Player-vs-Player Battle Engine made from scratch, customizable characters, and a range of gratuitus violence and scantily clad characters. What more could you ask for?
Join the fun at http://epicduel.com. The battle starts this Saturday at 6pm EST.
One Truly Moving Presentation

I’m not sure if I should refer to it as a presentation, talk, speech, or call to action, but Jill Tarter’s TED talk from earlier this month is truly inspiring.
Whatever your feelings on SETI, this talk is so full of passion, so thoughtfully delivered, and drop dead elegantly designed, you really shouldn’t miss it.

Sweet sweet sugared Pepsi Throwback

Jen and I never realized this but noticed it straight away after moving to the UK. Coke is SO much better in this country (UK) because it’s not made from HFCS. Apparently Pepsi’s got the message.

VDay Dinner

Jen and I whipped up some excellent home cooking for Valentine’s Day yesterday. The feast consisted of linguine with feta, basil, and pine nuts, grilled scallops wrapped in prosciutto, grilled marjoram tomatoes, and a homemade bakewell tart for desert! Much of the food came from Saturday Market as well as Roberts & Speight in Beverley, and most of the recipes were from the excellent Gordon Ramsay book, Cooking for Friends.
