Across the Pond Archives

It’s taken a little time but I’ve finally invested more energy here and have cleaned things up.

It occurred to me recently that I spend a good bit of time tweaking my digital life, and trying to get the most out of an increasingly digital world. Until now, I’ve not had an efficient outlet to share that, save the occasional email helping out friends and family with their computer needs.

The plan then, is to change that. Since moving across the pond to the UK, I’ve sorted out simple schemes for our home entertainment setup, sharing iTunes with the Mrs., calling overseas, making sure everything stays backed up and protected, and more. Much of it is based on the work of others but in each case I like to think I’ve balanced my unique needs and situations with simple and elegant schemes to keep things in order.

Additionally, I plan to start keeping a simple diary of what we’re up to over here, complete with photos to tell the tale. Friends and family will be able to keep in touch and hopefully the rest of you will find some worthwhile ideas too. Like the a Gelato recipe we made last week.
